Arriving by car

The apartments are accessible by car all day without an access pass which is quite unusual for the Albaicin.  We have a private parking space in a garage at the top of the street which costs 15 euros per day.  As we are in a UNESCO world heritage site with narrow cobbled streets driving to the apartments can tricky especially in a large vehicle.  Alternatively if you want to avoid driving in the Albaicin the easiest thing to do is drive to one of our suggested public car parks in the centre of Granada first, park the car and then ask the car park attendant to order you a taxi to take you to our front door. The cheapest public car park costs 56 euros for a week, it´s a 5 minute (7-9 euro) taxi ride to the apartments, or a 15 minute walk.  We provide detailed directions to both parking options.

Llegar en coche

Los apartamentos están accesible en coche todo el día sin necesidad de un carnet de acceso, algo excepcional para el Albaicin. Tenemos un garaje privado en nuestro calle 150 metros de los apartamentos. Si quiere aparcar en nuestro garaje hay que reservarlo y cuesta 15 euros por día.  Como estamos situado en una zona muy antigua las calles son estrechas y conducir por el Albaicin es un poco difícil, sobre todo en un coche grande. Si quiere evitar entrar en el Albaicin en coche lo mas fácil sería primer dejar el coche en uno de los dos aparcamientos públicos en el centro que recomendamos a nuestros clientes y luego pedir un taxi del encargado del aparcamiento para llevarle a la puerta de nuestros apartamentos. El aparcamiento mas barato cuesta 56 euros para una semana, esta a 5 minutos (7-9 euros) en un taxi / 15 minutos andando desde los apartamentos. Direct flights to Granada or flights via Madrid or Barcelona

At time of writing there are direct flights to Granada from Paris, London, Manchester, Milan and other cities in Europe.  If you can’t fly direct to Granada another option is to fly there via Madrid or Barcelona, this is worth considering as flights via Madrid, from London for example, are sometimes similar in price to direct flights to Malaga.

If you fly into Granada there are four options for travelling from the airport to the apartments:

1. Hire a car, if you decide to hire a car we will send you detailed directions on where to park and how to get to the apartments. Crown Car Hire, Hertz, Europcar etc all operate out of Granada airport.

2.  Our private driver could pick you up, cost €30, journey time 20-30 minutes. Just give us your flight details and he will be waiting for you with your name on a placard. Bear in mind if you decide on this option and the flight is delayed more than 45 minutes you will need to inform us.

3. Bus, this should take about 45 minutes and costs €3 per person. The bus timetable is such that there is a bus for every flight that arrives in Granada. The buses will also wait for delayed flights. Bear in mind there is a five minute uphill walk from the bus stop in the centre of town to the apartment, so this option is only advisable if you are travelling light.

4. A public taxi, this should take 20-30 minutes and cost €27.  To help communicate how to get to our apartments we will email you a map to show the taxi driver if you pick up a cab at the airport. Some of the airport taxi drivers don’t like driving down our street as it is quite narrow, in which case they will probably drop you at the end of the street which is 100 metres from the apartments. If that’s a problem you may prefer to be picked up by our driver.

Llegar desde el aeropuerto de Granada

Hay cuatro opciones para llegar a los apartamentos desde el aeropuerto:

1. Alquilar un coche. Si decide alquilar un coche le mandaremos instrucciones como llegar en coche a los apartamentos.

2. Ser recogido por nuestro taxista, coste €30, viaje tarda 20-30 minutos. Trabajamos con una taxista muy fiable que sabe perfectamente como llegar a los apartamentos. Si nos da los datos de su vuelo, el le esperará le en la zona de llegadas con su nombre en una placa. Tome en cuenta si el vuelo retrase más de 45 minutos puede que el conductor no le espere, en este caso recomendamos que coja un taxi normal.

 3. Coger el autobús, coste €3 por persona, duración de viaje 45 minutos. Hay un autobús al centro de Granada para cada vuelo que llega al aeropuerto. Hay que tener en cuenta que los apartamentos están a cinco minutos andando desde la parada del autobús más cercana, entonces este opción solo es aconsejable si no lleva mucho equipaje. La parada mas cercana es La Catedral.

4. Coger un taxi normal desde el aeropuerto, coste €27,  viaje tarda 20-30 minutos. Le mandaremos por email un mapa para mejor explicar a un taxista como conducir a los apartamentos. Muchas de los taxistas del aeropuerto no quieren bajar nuestra calle por que es estrecho, en este caso normalmente el taxista aparca al final de la calle unos 100 metros de los apartamentos. Si esto es un problema seria mejor pedir nuestro proprio taxista.

Arriving by train or bus

The easiest way to get from the train or bus station to the apartments is by taxi, cost 7-10 euros, journey time 10-15 minutes. To help communicate how to get to our apartments we will email you a map to show the taxi driver.

Llegar por tren o autobús

El mejor manera de llegar a los apartamentos desde la estación de tren/autobuses es por taxi que cuesta 7-10 euros, el viaje tarda 10-15 minutos. Le mandaremos por email una mapa para mostrar al taxista que explica como conducir a los apartamentos.

Arriving from Malaga airport

There are three main options on travelling from Malaga airport to Granada.

1. There are some buses that depart from Malaga airport and go to Granada, the journey takes 2 hours 15 minutes. Buses also leave every hour from the central Malaga bus station to Granada and the journey takes 1 hour 45 mins – 2 hours. 2.  Hire a car. There are several companies who hire cars at Malaga airport, if you decide to hire a car we will provide you with detailed directions to the apartments and 2 recommended car parks in Granada, the cheapest costs 56 euros for a week. The journey takes about 1 hour 20 minutes.

3. Taxi. We can book our driver to pick you up from the airport,  cost around 150 euros.
